I went there in the 90s. I've been to and worked in a few universities since.
There is literally nothing bad about Exeter University. He'll have an amazing time and a good education.

I definitely wouldn't put Bristol ahead of Exeter but these things are fairly subjective, and not the precise science that University rankings like to make them out to be. With an employers hat on I always think the likes of Exeter, Bath, Warwick, Surrey, places like that are very solid academically.

None of my MATES from school in east ham went to university, they're cabbies and postmen and forklift drivers and the like. It goes without saying that people I met at university went to university.

I never had a single MATE that I can recall that went to Uni, mind you they didn't go to prison either. Office jobs, brickies, sparkies and the like.

But it depends on the department of course, unless you're the sort of thick employer who simply employed based on the university attend. Bristol is generally better than Exeter.

Stewie - Makes sense. Leaving school in 87 the clever wants got jobs at banks. Dont even remember Uni coming in the convo, college (Ardleigh Green) maybe, but that was it.

What's the subject leroys? Imperial is usually seen as good as Oxbridge.
